REFERENCE GUIDANCE

To get the best out of your commission, the highest quality reference photos will help me to produce the most detailed and realistic artwork that I can. The better the reference photo, the better the drawing I'm able to create! If you're unsure of which photo would be best, or if your pet is sadly no longer with us, I can help you select the best choice to do them justice. All References must be your own.

Good Quality Reference Tips:

-High Resolution with lots of clear details.

-Close up.

-Natural lighting.

-Photo taken at eye level or near to eye level.

- Eye colour and detail very clear.

-Fur texture, colour and detail very clear.

-A good tip is to tempt them with a treat behind the camera to have them look at you.

Poor Quality References:

-Low Resolution and blurry with little detail.

-Photo taken from a distance

-Poor Lighting or taken with a strong flash.

-Photo taken from above or at a poor angle.

- Colour and texture detail can't be seen clearly.

I work mainly from one reference photo unless multiple are required (please see pricing info for more details) however it's best if you have multiple photos to send over so I can clearly see the character and colours of your loved pet.
