Hello! Welcome to my site!

My name is Meg/ Megs, or as my Grandad used to call me, Eggs. And yes, that's why I'm also called Art By Meggs! I'm an artist based in Manchester, UK.
​
I've been drawing and painting since I was a child as it runs in the family. I studied Art & Design at GSCE, A Level and Foundation Diploma, and then went on to get my BA (Hons) Graphic Design. I've since circled back round to drawing and it's what I love most!

I've always painted portraits of people or created illustrations both digital and using fineliners so the first time I picked up coloured pencils in well over a decade was in 2021 as my mum asked me to draw her fur baby for her birthday present, and I've never looked back! I've completely fallen in love with the medium, with the level of detail and clarity you can achieve, and obviously I've become completely obsessed with dogs since I've started drawing them!

I take great care and pride to create the highest detail and quality work using the
highest quality and lightfast materials that will help you cherish it forever, and it's such a joy to me to get to bring their faces to life on paper.

I mainly use coloured pencils, but also work in pastel pencils, watercolours and oil paints.
